In Crete, you must drive on the right side of the road. Seat belts are mandatory for all passengers, and the legal blood alcohol limit is 0.5%. Speed limits are generally 50 km/h in urban areas, 90 km/h on rural roads, and 120 km/h on highways unless otherwise indicated.

If you are from an EU or EFTA country, your national driving license is generally accepted in Greece. However, if your license is not in English, it's advisable to carry an International Driving Permit (IDP) to avoid any potential issues.

Yes, Sterling Rentals offers free airport pick-up and drop-off services at Heraklion Airport for added convenience. We also provide delivery and collection services to hotels and other locations upon request.

Drivers over 18 years of age and having valid lisence over a year are welcome.

No there is no need to hold Credit Card. Although, you can use Credit Card to Debit Card pay for the Rental, the rental can be payed in Cash. You need Credit Card only if you have choose the Basic Package

In the event of a cancellation, our policy is as follows:
Cancel more than 48 hours prior to the rental and receive a full refund (100%).

In case of a breakdown or an accident you should contact the emergency number: +30 6987243047 or +30 2897031394 (all contact information will be provided the first day of the rental). You should explain the problem to our representative as clearly as possible. Help will be sent to your location as soon as possible. You should remain close to your vehicle until assistance arrives. If there is a problem that cannot be fixed on spot, a replacement vehicle will be provided.

Our prices and offers include one person as main driver.  There is an option to add other people as a second or third driver. This option is charged extra.

Our employees will wait for you at the meeting point (customs exit -outside the arrival's hall desk 29 at Heraklion Airport), will be holding in their hands a banner bearing our company's name Sterling Rentals. Having those clues, you shall go towards him.At Hotel Pick up we will keep in touch before your rental day to make an appointment on reception or outside of your hotel.

Of course our employee will wait for you. All our employees are informed at all times for the arrival as well as changes that might occur and they wait for your arrival flight to deliver you the car

 All drivers must present a valid driver’s EU license or international license (for non-EU drivers) and a valid ID card or passport.

The operating hours are 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. For service outside the operating hours (service between 10 p.m. and 8:30 a.m.) is  extra charge of 25€

No, you cannot, as it is prohibited by the Greek traffic law to drive without a driver’s license. However, if there is a second driver in your group having a driver’s license you can still proceed with the rental.

One-way rentals are available on request with extra charge, depending on different locations

All vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as in pick-up. In case the renter returns the car with more fuel, the price of the excess fuel will not be refunded.

In case of rental extension, you must notify the local station where you rented the car. All contact information will be provided the day of car pick-up by our agents. A minimum 24hour notice prior to return date is required.

Can I drive the car outside the island of Crete?

Transporting and driving the car outside the main island of Crete is not allowed.

The rental vehicles must not be operated off-road, on any beach, or driven on bush tracks. ALL vehicles (including 4WD vehicles) are prohibited from driving on ALL 4WD tracks.

No. Smoking is not permitted in a rental vehicle. If the vehicle is returned smelling of cigarette / cigar smoke you will be liable for the full cost of cleaning.

You have to check in advance the number of pieces that can fit in your selected vehicle.

If the vehicle that you have chosen upon reservation is not available, it will be substituted with an alternative, similar or upgraded vehicle. In some cases, the model of the car or the manufacturer of the car may change.

When arriving at Heraklion Airport and after exiting the arrival hall, you can call us on +30 6987243047 and after 3 minutes we will be there to pick you up and drive's you on our office. 

We will waiting you outside of your arrival's hall on desk 29 with Sterling Rentals sign.

All drivers must present a valid driver’s EU license or international license (for non-EU drivers) and a valid ID card or passport.

We will contact you one day before your pick up date to give you more instructions and also to confirm the time and the place of the meeting.

At the end of the reservation process you will view a "Reservation Confirmation" page with the reservation number highlighted.
